Asbury University revival resources
As an old “Jesus Freak” from the 70s “Jesus Movement,” I’ve been praying and waiting all my life to see another true movement of God spread across our nation and the world producing life change in individuals and institutions. One broke out at Asbury University in 1970 that put Jesus on the cover of TIME magazine.
So, I was thrilled that once again during a chapel at Asbury University, a spontaneous time of worship, praise and confession broke out that has continued non-stop over several days.
Alexandria Presta, a writer for the school newspaper, reports, “I have been in Hughes Auditorium for almost twelve hours now without an intent to leave anytime soon. No one even expected this to happen. Not on a random Wednesday for sure. Yet, we sit and sing about God’s love pouring out and His goodness.” Another student noted “The Spirit of God is thick in the air.”
